Internet Dating DOs & DON’Ts

INTERNET DOs & DON’Ts…IMHO  ©2013

Hello,

I have been dating before the internet since about 1995 on a thing called TeleCompanions in the Houston, TX area, and on-line at all manner of websites since 2001. All of this has taught me a few things. I was moving around a lot in the yachting business and on-line dating was a very nice way to meet new people when I relocated to another area. This experience has taught me some very valuable lessons over the years that I would like to share with all of you.

I have therefore decided to have a say in all of this confusion. Here is my one personal perceptions based on years of experience dating, meeting, and enjoying the company of literally hundreds of women. I have also been lied to, stood up by, mistreated, and abused by just as many women.

Please use my personal experiences as a guide and heed the warning signs I give here.

UNIVERSAL TRUTHS:

1. Men want SEX

2. Women want MONEY

3.  We ALL want to be LOVED

4. Men lie about their jobs, relationship status, and height

5. Women lie about their weight, their posted photos, and whether they are going to actually meet you or not.

Overall, though, most people are honest and very nice, they just need some tweeking.

BTW…I have met and am with a very wonderful lady I met on a website site. So, I DO know what I am talking about in all of this.

DAVE’s INTERNET DATING DO’S & DON’TS

MEN DOs (4)

DO tell the lady what you bring to the table and into the relationship, not just what you expect her to do and how she can satify your kinky desires.

Tell her why she should get with you instead of the other 500,000 men that messaged her this week. Especially if she is one of the very rare HWP women in the Internet world. You just KNOW she will be bombarded with zillions of messages from that fact alone. Stand out and give her a reason she should reply to you instead of all the others. What do YOU have to offer her specific to what she said she is looking for in her profile.

DO have a face pic posted. Those pics posted with your head cut off means you are ashamed of what you are doing and/or have something to hide, usually the fact you are married. Gay men typically have their heads cut off in their profile pics and so do married men. All having the same lame excuses

a) I was stalked once

b) I have a public job

c) refer back to a & b.

This is pure bullshit and the women know it. If you cannot come out in the daylight, then don’t do it at all.

DO actually read ALL of the lady’s profile BEFORE sending her a message.

She took the time to write it, so give her the respect due by you reading it. If you ask a question that she previously answered in her profile, you will come off as inattentive and not really interested in what she has to say. Her mind is where her orgasms are…go there.

DO use proper gammar, spelling and punctuation in your messages.

TAKE THE TIME to proof read what you sent her. It will show her you have enough respect for her to care about how you write to her. SpellCheck does not always work. Actually learn to write in the language you speak. Typos can be forgiven, but a consistant string of errors is hard to overlook. Learn the difference between YOUR / YOU’RE / YOURS, and THEIR / THERE / THEY’RE as an example. This is not being a Grammar Nazi, just using effective written communication.

MEN DO NOTs (3)

DO NOT just look at her pic and send a short blurb or one-liner, like “waz up” or “howz it goin”

You will present yourself as very lazy and not very interested. Write something worth replying to.

DO NOT use TEXT SPEAK when sending her a message.

This will also make you look illiterate as well as lazy.

DO NOT get sexual with her right from the get go.

The Internet is full of sites you can whack it to. Get your material there, and leave the nice lady alone.

WOMEN DOs (2)

DO have a face pic posted.

Lack of a face pic means you are ashamed of something, usually your weight. You are not fooling anyone with all the stolen internet pics, artistry and poetry. They all spell “FAT”. That is a major indicator you are ashamed to show your face for a reason.

DO post your face pic even if you are heavy.

This will let the men concentrate on who you are. Hold your head up high and do not be ashamed of anything you do. Just demand respect while you are doing it.  Just understand most men will always go for the HWP woman instead of the heavy lady.  That is just a fact of life in our society.

WOMEN DO NOTs (4)

DO NOT write anything in your profile you do not mean.

a) If you say you are RELOCATABLE, then be ready to relocate.

b) If you say you would like to actually meet someone in real time, then be ready to meet someone in real time.

Websites are full of manipulative women that play men for all they have got. DO NOT be one of them. Actually mean what you say and write. When you do this, you will be suprised how many men will compliment you on your honesty, simply because there are so many that do not.

DO NOT say you want a relationship when all you really are looking for is free dinners for the rest of your life from another sucker, just to throw the guy’s number out the car window on your way home. This is MAN ABUSE.

DO NOT become an Internet Queen. A woman that is on the Internet purely for an EGO TRIP, and nothing else.

She is HWP and looks pretty good, and revels in all the zillions of messages she gets when she logs on to the site. Arrogantly judging and tossing aside very nice and meaningful men because she really has no intention of having a relationship with anyone. Even though that is exactly what she wrote in her profile.

The common indicators of the Internet Queen are;

a) she has been on the website “looking for Mr. Right” since 1997and has not found him yet, after meeting 3,457 men off of the site. Is she still looking? Believe what you want to believe.

b) she has 17 strikingly beautiful pics of herself in her profile and adding more all the time. More “bait’ for new suckers.

c) she has 82 “friends” off of the site that give glaring reviews of her, yet for some reason THEY never quite cut the mustard with her….hmmm…wonder why.

d) she has the manners of a yardape, because she knows she can behave any way she likes because for every man she tosses aside there are three new ones to take his place, also offering their undying love and adoration because she is so pretty.

There you have it, people. These are only my personal opinions and observations over these many years. Like them, relate to them, cuss them, discuss them, or ignore them. Your call.

In Regards to Why Americans are Hiding in Their Shells and Shun Most Daily Contact With Anyone

Why Americans Are Hiding In Their Shells and Shun Contact  ©2013

We as Americans tend to draw into our collective shells because we do not know what is real anymore. The classic term, “TOO MUCH INFORMATION” applies here.
We don’t know what to believe anymore.

With the internet, what used to be rantings of some underground printing press leaflets are now out there for EVERYONE to easily see, read and digest.
Thomas Payne, Fredric Marx, Chicken Little, all would have KILLED for the kind of power the internet provides now to reach millions with one click.
Unfortunately, there is photoshop, fake videos on You Tube, pic stealing, fake profiles, government spying, and viruses.
TODAY, if I want to be a beautiful black woman on an ebony website, I can do it in about an hour…WITH PICS.
TOMORROW if I want to be a rich Jewish doctor on JDate, OK….with a photo of my degree to boot.

AS A HUMOUROUS ASIDE: …. Here is some pics some not-so-talented Kenyans tried to pass as a real woman on a dating site. Just to let you know how bad the level of deceit has gone. They all “live” in Grand Island, Nebraska and like to take long walks on the beach there.

Major Indicators a Website is a FAKE or a SCAM

Major Indicators a Website is a FAKE or a SCAM  ©2013

by David L. Ledet

1.  They mention an Ex-SEAL, some special forces type, or shamans/monks in some far away place told them these hidden secrets.

2.  They say it was BANNED by someone, somewhere.

3.  They begin their presentation with….”Hello, fellow patriots”.

4.  The use the term “wierd trick” in anything describing it.  That seems to be a common buzzword for the scammers as of this writing.

5.  They say the GOVERNMENT, WALL STREET, BANKS, REAL ESTATE, DOCTORS, or someone else does not want you to know what they have to say.

6.  They say some ancient, but newly discovered plant, tree sap, mineral, or whatever, is now available in pill form and you can have it for a FREE TRIAL OFFER if you give them your credit card information.  The FREE TRIAL, of course, is NOT a 30 day supply.

7.  ANYONE that says you can CANCEL YOUR ORDER, and your credit card will not be billed anymore.  The fine print says you need to do it in writing, must be postmarked the next day of the date of your letter, must be accompanied by a letter from your mother, a clipping of your dog’s hair, and must get to them within 36 hours of mailing.  You will, of course, continue to be billed while they “process” your request, or loose it.  The effective date of approval MAY fall after the next billing cycle, which you will be also be responsible for.

8.  PRE-APPROVED really means pre-screened to receive their targeted SPAM mail.  You are not pre-approved for any credit what-so-ever.  Why does the fine print always say, “upon approved credit” if you were pre-approved in the first place?  You were NOT.  It is one of the oldest scams out there.  There was once a picture on the box of a document shredder showing someone shredding one of those PRE-APPROVED applications just to let you know how widely this lie has been in circulation.

9.  They use a PHOTOSHOPPED image or ANIMATED .gif file as their grabber to get your attention.  If they start off with deception, then you know their intent is to decieve.

If you DO NOT believe any of my warnings posted above, I have some very nice and cheap fertile land to sell you on the Texas gulf coast.  Just send me a check made payable to the Cooperative Allegiance for Swamp Housing or CASH for short.

On a Dating Website

1.  There is only one photo of a strikingly beautiful woman in her 20’s, and just a brief one or two sentence, usually in incorrect English, as her complete profile.

On Craig’s List Personals ( the Wild West of the Internet )

1.  Any response you get that comes at zero dark thirty (working hours in Nigeria or Russia) with yet again,  incorrect English.  In addition, yet another photo of a strikingly beautiful young woman in her 20’s.

She will also say she likes to take long walks on the beach in Nebraska.  If you live in Wyoming, she will say she lives in Larame, and you will see tropical jungle plants in the background, and high hills covered with triple canopy jungle. Once I had 26 of those fake replies from 0200 to 0530.

2.  The first and last name of the replier sounds kinda wierd in themselves.  Like they went through a phone book of some foreign country and picked names at random.  They are NOT,(for example) Sally Smith, Kathy Jones, or Brenda Johnson.  They are really strangely spelled names and only contain one photo in their reply.  No words, just one photo, and that wierd name as the sender.  They do this a lot.  That is it.  Just a photo and some really wierd name.  I will put an ad up just for the purpose of collecting some of those strange names they just as an example.

Ooops, I can’t do that.  The prostitutes, dope peddlers, and their pimps FLAGGERS have totally taken over Craig’s List and the ad I tried to post was IMMEDIATELY ” flagged & removed”.  Like I said, it is the internet equivalent of the Wild West and they totally control it’s content.

The Spread of Profanity on the Internet

The Spread of Profanity on the Internet  ©2013

by David L. Ledet

NO, it is not what you think.  I am not talking about anything sexual.  I am talking about how our spirituality and just plain humanity is being drained, and that drain is reflected on the internet.

I sat down to write this today because I tried a few weeks ago, on my birthday, actually, to start a meet up group composed of people that mean what they say and say what they mean.  I made a list of ten major points the group would focus on and then later vow to uphold.  Those vows had to do with treating fellow humans with dignity, meaning what they said, always to try and do the right thing, and other similar concepts.

It was a disaster.  Only five people showed up for the first meeting, and after that, ZERO.  There were two that tried to make it consistantly, but somehow never could make it.  Everyone was just too busy and just did not care to expend any effort to be a solid citizen of the world.

OK, I then looked at some other groups.  ALL so far, always had an angle to try and seperate you from your money.  I thought the survivalist / prepper groups were the worst.  NOPE, it was the spiritual, healing, channel your internal power, and save the world types that were the worst and the most expensive.  I consider that PROFANE.

I consider it PROFANE to offer spiritual guidance for money.

I consider it PROFANE to charge money in the name of humanity to show people a better way for them to be a better citizen of the world.

I consider it PROFANE to offer people internal peace, but only if they have the money to pay for it.

I consider it PROFANE to offer damaged and hurt souls a healing solution ONLY if they have money to pay for the healing.

I consider it PROFANE to advertise a natural, spiritual, and healing path to a soul who is in desperate need of that healing, only to yank it away from them because they can only receive their healing grace if they pay for it.

Certain matters of the spirit, soul, and our inherent humanity are NOT FOR SALE, and charging to heal them is an offense unto the universe.

These types that do this I feel are servants of another power.  I feel they are praying to the alter of MONEY, and that is their true purpose.  I am not overly religious, but in the Christian bible it warns of many false prophets and deceivers dwelling among us.  They have always been here.  What they do is nothing new.  The internet just gives them a bigger sucker list to choose their victims from.

“You will know them by their works”, is an often quoted and very true excerpt from the bible.  When there is a price tag attached to the healing of your spirit and soul, I feel that fits perfectly into the false prophet scheme of things, and slings mud in the face of the founders of the very philosophies and spiritual teaching they are claiming to teach.

Charging to learn a technical skill is very different than offering the healing of a damaged soul and spirit.  I taught technology in college.  I know it takes a lot of equipment and facilities to teach a technical skill correctly.  Even a simple Orienteering course will require a small amout of gear to do it right.

Charging $395 to sit on a mat in the lotus position for a few of hours, however is just plain ridiculous, and a slap in the face to the founders of the very skills they are charging for.

Opportunist will always exist, and so will the suckers they take money from.  That has always been the case since the first caveman sold his neighbor a pet rock.  No wait, that was in the 1970’s.  Looks like we have not changed much.  Ripoff people and suckers will always be around.

What I personally think is completely IMMORAL is to do it with the promise of internal peace, and spiritual healing, and the internet and MeetUp groups are full of them.

Just as it is ILLEGAL in this day and age of pill pushing to say a lime CAN treat, prevent and cure the disease of scury.  The damaged, hurt, and broken spirits among us go untreated because they have no money to pay for what should be a basic human service offered for free by the skilled practicers of these vitally needed skills.  When one goes into learning these skills, it should be for the purpose of serving humanity, NOT as a vocation.  This needed to be said.  I am glad I am the one that said it.

Think about this the next time you read about a gunman going insane and killing more innocent people on some rampage.  Those are happening more and more each week.  Our moral soul as a nation is in serious need of healing.  Those with the skills to do the healing close their eyes to those with a closed purse, and we as a whole are distancing ourselves with our fellow human beings we share an apartment buliding or neighborhood block with.

I am not going to shout this message out from the rooftops.  There are way too many more that are better skilled and louder than I am at doing that.  I am going to whisper this message in a soft voice and hope one day you may remember back a few years in the past, a guy named Dave asked you in a whisper to try and be a better human being to those around you.

Let’s try and put an end to the profanity that is growing around us.  Let’s try and put an end to the cold indifference we feel about the people living not 100 feet away from us.

“Free Market” types will tell you there is nothing wrong with selling the father of a little girl with diabetes a $500 generator for $3000 during a blackout to keep her life-saving insulin cold.  I say, why not just store it for her for free in the generator powered refrigerator and be a better human being.  The free market does not even consider morality or doing the right thing in it’s philosophy.

If you eliminate the human element, then you have INHUMANITY.

I hope we are better than that.  If not, then we DESERVE to make way for our betters, or get pushed aside by them.
